On the 22nd of December 2013 everything changed for me -  I suffered a major stroke which had left me paralysed down my right hand side and has also left me with limited speech and language skills.
After three months of physiotherapy sessions I am now walking again and have regained movement in my right side but still have major difficulty communicating with people as my vision and speech are still greatly affected.

After completing the Leeds 10k where we raised an amazing £2839.00, we will be involved in other fundraising events throughout the year until the next 10k event. I have to fight back for my own strength of mind and wellbeing.  With the help of my family and friends, we will help raise funds for the Stroke Association to help continue research into stroke research into stroke prevention and care so that one day we can live in a world free from stroke.
